Wildfires - Llansamlet/Trallwn

Dear Resident,

Unfortunately a few areas within the Llansamlet/Trallwn patch have been affected by the recent wildfires. With the current dry conditions, we're asking everyone to take extra care when enjoying the outdoors.

Below is some advice from the Mid and West Wales Fire Service website:

Don’t light anything outside that could create a spark that causes a fire

Stay away from the areas where emergency services are dealing with incidents

Don’t fly drones in the area, as they can disrupt emergency operations and pose a risk to the incident operations - including helicopter operations

We have seen instances of deliberate fire setting, please report any suspicious behaviour to police by calling 101

Follow any local restrictions or safety advice in affected areas.

If you see a fire, move to a safe location and call 999, giving the exact location and access information if you can do safely.

If you are affected by smoke, move indoors and keep windows and doors closed until smoke has cleared and seek public health advice if needed.
